TOOLEAD was founded in 2025 by a group of students from Harvard University. What began as a shared frustration with clunky, ad-heavy, and privacy-invasive tool websites quickly grew into a mission: to build a single home for fast, accurate, and genuinely free online tools that respect every user. We are a non-profit project. Every tool on TOOLEAD — from health and fitness calculators to financial planners, developer utilities, and unit converters — is completely free to use, with no sign-ups, no paywalls, and no usage limits. We do not sell your data, and we never will. Privacy is built into everything we make. The vast majority of our tools run entirely in your browser, which means the numbers and text you enter never leave your device. We believe great tools should never come at the cost of your personal information. We also believe the best tools should be accessible to everyone, everywhere. TOOLEAD is available in 19 languages and keeps growing — thousands of tools, updated regularly, for students, professionals, and curious minds alike. TOOLEAD is an independent project.
